JOURNEY OF LMJ’S GROWTH OVER THE DECADES
The sixties saw the inception of LMJ Group, when Shri Madan Lall Jain, a first generation entrepreneur laid the foundation as a Tea Trading Company.
In the early eighties, the second generation continued to strive for newer heights and widened the base under the able guidance of Shri Madan Lall Jain. They enabled the company to realize its potential in the global arena and upgraded LMJ to a Limited Company with focus on export of agro-commodities.
In a span of 10 years, LMJ achieved immense heights and was proud of its success in its chosen field of exports of Agro commodities. It became one of the largest exporters of agro commodities with all the possible agro products in its basket with its connections spreading far and wide. Since, we have always been strategically located in the heart of growing regions of all speciality crops in the various Indian States; thus, we have an advantage of being closer to the growers and processors for better pricing thereby having a good hold on order executions.
The company saw an added feather in its cap with logistics business becoming a very eminent addition to its scope of work.
2000s marked an era of exploring new fields by venturing into newer items of exports and imports. Acquisition of new tea and coffee plantations took place. This period saw setting up of new processing units for rice and wheat and a surge in the processing capacity of all the existing units.
Traversing the path of exploration and expansion to accomplish the highest standards of expertise, LMJ is endeavouring to reach the zenith of its vision. Revamping of infrastructural facilities at major ports, strong impetus on Supply Chain Management, inception of non-agro segment like minerals and energy resources etc., it is paving its way to create a niche for itself in global trading.

The consistent export excellence of the company has been recognized by the Government of India when the Ministry of Commerce conferred it the status of a Star Trading House (formerly a Four Star Export House). Several other awards instituted by the Ministry of Commerce as well as other trade bodies like APEDA; Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO) followed this special honour.
